"The Anatomy of Hanging"

In all aerial circus disciplines, the first thing we do is to let go of our grip of the floor and establish ourselves through the arms, in
suspension. Aerial straps, which originated as an ancient Chinese form of gymnastics, has
evolved into one of the peak acts of modern circus.

Despite their minimalist beauty, straps are arguably the most challenging
aerial discipline. This is why almost all aerial professionals incorporate straps training into their routines.

In the **"Anatomy of Hanging"** workshop, I will teach the fundamentals of aerial straps—principles that can be applied across all other aerial disciplines. We will explore the full range of postures that the shoulders can accommodate.

The aim is to equip participants with long-term tools to achieve freedom of movement in the air, while prioritizing shoulder health, injury prevention, and the sustainability of their practice.
